Mwangi Githahu is a Kenyan journalist, who until recently was based in South Africa where he has lived for just over a decade. 

With more than 35 years experience in News Gathering and Editing under his belt, he has worked with major Kenyan, South African and international news outlets including the East African, The Sunday Nation, The Weekly Review, The Sunday Standard, BBC East Africa Bureau, The Elephant, Business Day, Leadership Magazine and most recently The Cape Argus where he was the Senior Multimedia reporter. 
In his long reporting career, Mwangi has written on among other topics, politics, business, the courts, human rights, health, education, culture and the arts.
