Amma Felix is the president and CEO of Collegiate Directions, Inc. (CDI) and raises $2M annually to ensure the sustainability of their college completion work to include career exploration programming and deepened their mental health services. Amma also positions CDI as a thought leader on college completion for students first in their families to attend and are from low-income backgrounds. 90% of CDI Scholars graduate from college, a rate nearly five times that of the national average for their peers.

Previously, Amma was the Vice President of Strategy and Secretary of the Board of Directors at United Negro College Fund, Inc. (UNCF) with its 180-person staff and $179M consolidated annual operating budget. Amma served as the Vice President of Strategy Management for the Abyssinian Development Corporation with its 100-person staff and $9.4M operating budget. At LISC NYC, she was responsible for grantmaking activity. She was also an adjunct lecturer at the City University of New York/Baruch College’s School of Public Affairs.

Amma holds a BA and an MPA from Syracuse University and an MPS from Cornell University.

She is a Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA), one of the highest honors for those serving in the sector. Amma is on NAPA’s board finance/investment committee, is a Syracuse Maxwell School Advisory Board member and is on the Board to Promote Self-Sufficiency in MD. Amma serves on the selection committee for the Center for Nonprofit Advancement’s Excellence in Chief Executive Leadership Award which spotlights outstanding nonprofit chief executives in the Washington DC region.
